On Wednesday, April 10, ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ international MBA students worked with 70 newly arrived Erie School District students to build trust and acceptance in a new culture.

Students were divided into 15 roundtable teams comprised of both GU MBA and ESD students. ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ professor of leadership, ethics, and social responsibility Joseph Kuvshinikov, Ph.D., led the teams through various active learning projects, including building understandability and developing cross-cultural friendships.

President Walter Iwanenko, Ph.D., Mayor Schember, and a representative of the Erie School District opened the meeting with welcomes. The welcomes were then translated into the languages of the ESD students.

This coaching session allowed ÌÇÐÄVLOGÍøÒ³°æ’s international MBA students to learn more about applying ethical and trustworthy influence and leadership. Students from the following countries were involved in the event:

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, China, Congo Republic, Ghana, India, Jordan, Mexico, Mongolia, Nepal, Rwanda, Turkey, Ukraine, Russia, South Africa, Syria, United States, and Vietnam.
